Cort House is a grade 2 listed building situated in the Arkholme Village Conservation Area. Through demolition, extension, and internal remodelling this house has been truly transformed. The existing triple garage extension has been converted into a large open plan living kitchen. This is enhanced with a new modern single storey glazed extension which takes benefit of views to the rear garden. A new entrance hall has been created which improves circulation at ground floor level.

PROJECT INFO

Further remodelling has been created at first floor level to create 4 generous bedrooms and bathroom accommodation. DBA worked closely with the Lancaster City Council Conservation Officer to deliver a scheme which met the clients’ requirements whilst maintaining the historic character of the listed building.
